Linda Mariani, FIFDA
Linda is the owner of Weston Studio. She graduated from Chamberlayne Junior College of Interior Design in Boston and was lucky enough to get an apprenticeship at The Weston Studio. It was here that Linda developed her business skills and passion for design.
The design challenges presented by each client has given Linda a wealth of creative and practical experience. She enjoys working on a variety of interior spaces meeting the needs and wishes of her clients. Linda has formed lasting relationships with many of her clients, continuing to design their spaces as they move about the country.
Through her many years as a member of the International Furnishings and Design Association, she has earned the designation of Fellow. She is currently serving as the National Chair of the Educational Foundation, which is the philanthropic arm of IFDA.
Recently Linda taught classes at the Boston Achitectural College. She was also given the opportunity to do a "Room For Improvement" segment on WHDH news which aired in May 2007. All of these responsibilities and her years in design continue to fulfill that early desire to become an interior designer.
Linda Paul Gordon, MFA
After sixteen years with Weston Studio, I have decided this is my year (2006) to retire. I will become a lady of leisure in my garden and continue with my painting.
Chris Maier, Allied Member ASID,IFDA
I can trace my interest in decorating back to childhood when I would constantly rearrange my bedroom as well as those of my friends. During college at the University of Pennsylvania I was able to take full advantage of Philadelphia's historic resources as well as many courses in the American decorative arts and fine arts. I graduated in 1964 with a BA in American Studies.
It wasn't until my two children were in high school that I was able to truly explore my interest in interior design. I enrolled at Chamberlayne Junior College in Boston and graduated in 1988 with an Associate Degree in Interior Design. At that time I was accepted as an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Design. Immediately thereafter I joined the Weston Studio.
Over the years I have come to realize that those courses in art, color, drafting and lighting, to name a few, have been invaluable in helping me to bring discriminating design solutions for the many ideas and wishes of my clients. I am a member of the International Furnishings and Design Association and my additional interests include collecting antiques, flower arranging and garden design.
