Linda Mariani, FIFDA
Linda is the owner of The Weston Studio of Interior Design. She graduated from Chamberlayne Junior College of Interior Design in Boston and was lucky enough to get an apprenticeship at The Weston Studio. It was here that Linda developed her business skills and passion for design.
The interior design challenges presented by each client has given Linda a wealth of creative and practical experience. She enjoys working on a variety of interior spaces meeting the needs and wishes of her clients. Linda has formed lasting relationships with many of her clients, continuing to provide interior design ideas and services for their home(s) as they move about the country.
Over the years Linda has also collaborated on commercial projects such as: designing the reception area in the headquarters of an international company, she was part of a team that built-out the entire floor in a Boston high-rise office building, several Boston hotel hospitality rooms, local church projects, as well as area banks.
Through her many years as a member of the International Furnishings and Design Association, she has earned the designation of Fellow. She served as the National Chair of the Educational Foundation, the philanthropic arm of IFDA.. She remains active on the Educational Foundation Resource Development committee.
Linda taught classes at the Boston Architectural College. She was also given the opportunity to do a "Room For Improvement" segment on WHDH news which aired in May 2007. All of these responsibilities and her years in design continue to fulfill that early desire to become an interior designer.
Chris Maier, IFDA
After 23 years creating beautiful spaces for clients, Chris has decided this is a good time to retire, (although she could be coaxed back to work with her long-time clients.) She plans to spend more time entertaining family and friends at her homes in Belmont and Marion.
